Dune Saga Podcast #35: Duke of Caladan

Welcome back to the Dune Saga Podcast. On this episode, David, Scott, and Jim comment on the newest Dune novel, Dune: The Duke of Caladan by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. It is the first of a trilogy that will lead directly to the events of the original Dune by Frank Herbert. After an attempt on Emperor Shaddam IV’s life, Duke Leto develops political ambitions to make Caladan a bigger player in the empire. But, as usual, there are plans within plans. Dune fans already know where the end of the story will lead, but as Jim says, “it’s like watching a train wreck, but you just can’t look away!” Lot’s of action in this one. Lots of intrigue. Lots of political maneuvering happening all over the galaxy. Join us for this discussion and may Shai Hulud clear the path before you.
